Spartan 1000 Challenge & Creating an Unstoppable Boot Camp Community.

Carrie here…

We have a “Spartan 1000 Challenge” each month in our studio.

If you’re not familiar with what it is…

100 Jump Squats

200 Push-ups

300 Full Sit-ups

400 Burpees

*They must complete each exercise and number of reps before moving on to the next one.

Sounds fun doesn’t it???

Anyway, to make a long story short, last week we had one of the BEST Challenges we’ve ever had.

One of my new boot camp girls who’s over-weight by about 60lbs. was working through the burpees (everyone’s favorite part) and at 200 reps she said she couldn’t do anymore.

I’m a BIG cheerleader at these challenges (I love to see people make huge accomplishments) , so I told her to take a break.  She did.  She then got to 270 burpees and she fell down to her knees literally.

I turned and asked her if she was ok (trying not to make a big deal of it – I know my campers) and she said yes. She began to continue and she COMPLETED the Challenge to the end!

Perseverance with a Capital “P”!

It was amazing, BUT I am not done yet. What made it even better is 4 other boot camp members who were done already (by 45 minutes to 1 hour earlier) stuck around to see her finish and cheer her on!

A couple of the girls didn’t even know her before the challenge. This is the “Community” we have built within our camps!  They are the best people and it all starts with you!

Build your “Communities” in your business and you’ll feel like you don’t work a day in your life!

Very, very cool, and uber inspiring. We have a similar community with huge support at our camps. It makes such a difference for the campers to know each other and CARE for each other. Then each of them realize that they inspire one another. Thanks for sharing. :)

Awesome! I love to see my people push through too and they will do just one more no matter how they feel if your cheering them on! I will put this challenge to the test on Saturday! Thanks for the tip! ;) YOU ROCK!!!

What is an average time for people to finish this? I’m sure it varies greatly, but just looking for a typical finish time for the average exerciser.

It definitely can range depending on your boot campers fitness levels. I do it as a special event (Friday Night Social – once a month). The shortest is 50 minutes the longest 3 hours. Most under 2 hours. I hope that helps.
